European Car Computer Diagnostics in Bloomfield, NJ
Blessed Locksmith provides European car computer diagnostics in Bloomfield, NJ, using dealer-level European diagnostic equipment that we bring to the car. Our focus is the electronic side of key, immobilizer and module problems on German and European vehicles. We do not do general mechanical repair. If the scan points to a module, we can follow with module programming on the same visit.
European Car Computer Diagnostics in Bloomfield, NJ: What We Check
- Fault-code scanning: reading stored codes from the modules we can reach, not only the engine computer.
- Immobilizer and key faults: why the car does not recognize the key or shows an immobilizer warning.
- No-start and crank-no-start: whether the cause is electronic, such as immobilizer, ECU or access module communication.
- Module communication faults: modules that do not respond on the car's network.
- ELV and EIS faults: steering-lock and ignition-switch problems on Mercedes-Benz.
- Diagnosis before module replacement: confirming a module is actually at fault before you buy one.
Why Diagnose Before Replacing a Module
Replacing a module without a diagnosis is a common way to spend money without fixing the car. A wiring fault, a low battery voltage problem, or a failed key reader can look exactly like a failed module. A scan lets us confirm the fault first. If a module does need replacing, we can then match it to the car with key and immobilizer programming.
Symptoms We See on German and European Cars
- A key that worked yesterday is not detected today.
- The engine cranks but does not start.
- The car starts only sometimes.
- A steering-lock or ignition warning on the dash.
- Multiple unrelated warning lights after a battery replacement or a module swap.
- No communication with a module in a scan.
